Al Wahab Rice Mills is located in the heart of the Basmati Rice Region (Kamoki) in Punjab, Pakistan. This area is known worldwide for its traditions and rich harvest paddy of basmati.
Al Wahab Rice Mills represents a modern and sophisticated rice mill. It has state-of-the-art processing facilities, which include paddy drying and cleaning, husking, pre-cleaning, de-stoning, single/double polishing, silky polishing (mist polishing), width grading, length grading, and the latest color sorting.
With strict quality control in the production process, our quality assurance program (QAP) starts from the selection and procurement of the finest quality raw paddy. We select the best farmers in the finest rice-growing areas of Punjab for the best raw paddy.
Our export-quality rice is produced at our modern plant. Before presenting the product to our customer, it goes through stringent quality control tests at our mill. By qualified experts who have been involved with rice for over two decades. The lab tests ensure uniformity in whiteness degree, moisture content, average grain length (AGL), broken percentage, and color.
Stringent quality control demands extensive planning. Our grading system comprises four graders installed in two different stages of a processing plant, which ensures uniformity in grain length, and color, and also limits the broken percentage so that our buyers have the best end product.
Al Wahab Rice Mills buys paddy directly from the farmers on pre-announced specifications. Apart from prompt payments, Al Wahab Rice Mills also offers the farmers a premium over the prevailing market prices for adherence to Al Wahab Rice Mills specifications.
Selection of paddy is a process where a rice mill needs to devote most of its energies, expertise and time. Quality of final product largely depends upon the paddy procured. Many rice mills avoid to indulge in such a laborious process and purchase semi-processed rice from brokers instead of paddy from farmers. Unfortunately, this cannot be done without compromising on quality.
On arrival at the Mill Gate, samples are drawn from each & every bag by trained samplers. After going through a Preliminary Test Check of quality by our highly experienced Paddy Selectors, the selected samples are sent to our Quality Assurance Laboratory, for detailed testing & analysis.
Drying reduces grain moisture content to a safe level for storage. It is the most critical operation after harvesting a rice crop.
Parboiled rice is rice that has been boiled in the husk. Parboiling makes rice easier to process , improves its nutritional profile, and changes its texture. Parboiling rice drives nutrients, especially thiamine, from the bran into the grain, so that parboiled white rice is nutritionally similar to brown rice. The process of parboiling itself, however, is more than two thousand years old and is believed to have originated in the Persian Gulf.
Milling Starts with the cleaning of rice. This is a multi-step process where foreign materials like straws, mud balls, dust, threads, stones, paddy, and metal particles are removed from the rice.
High-Performance recleaners and classifiers are used to achieve great accuracy in feeding a purified rice to the later processes.
Al Wahab Traders employs three different sets of most sophisticated polishing machines namely vertical abrasive polishers (DSRDs), silky (wet) polishers (BSPCs) & dry friction polishers (DSRLs), in stages to attain any degree of polishing & silkiness as desired by our valued customers. Our latest DSRS whiteness controllers are installed in the polishing lines to indicate the degree of polishing of rice being processed to enable our millers to exercise proper control over milling operation in line with our customer’s requirements.
Double polished/silky rice is then passed through our latest Plan Sifters and series of Length Graders (Indented Cylinders) to separate small, medium & large broken from the Head Rice which are collected in separate Bins through Auto Scales indicating the weight of each By-Product being produced.
Finally, the double polished/Silky Head Rice is then led into three color sorting Machines to remove all damaged yellow & discolored grain. The Export Quality Sorted
Rice is first collected in totally enclosed Rice Bins & is packed into bags through our automatic Gross Weighter for dispatch to our valued customers.
Al Wahab Plant has a fully Computerized Monitoring System (PLC) and latest MYAF Yield System, which indicates minute to minute information about degree of polishing & Yields of Head Rice, Broken, By-Products, Bran, Husk & Impurities on Monitor Screens enabling our engineers & Millers to have absolute control over the quality of rice being produced in our Mill.

Al Wahab Rice Mills Pvt. Ltd works with groups of growers to improve the environmental and social responsibility of farming systems. believe on the integrated pest management, nutrient and water management programs are designed and implemented for a wide range of farm enterprises. particularly interested in promoting the Sustainable rice standards on rice grower in Pakistan.
Al-Wahab Rice Mills Pvt. Ltd has currently introduce sustainable rice production practices that reduce the agricultural chemical and pollution in the rice fields and the principal source of fresh water for the rice growing. Initial results have shown that implementing conservation practices in rice has reduced nutrient and pesticide loading in streams and improved water quality. Farmers who adopt these sustainable practices use less fertilizers and pesticides and still achieve yields equal to or better than their conventional neighbors, are enjoying higher profits per hectare under the new system.
There has been improvement in the quality and packaging of domestically produced rice available to consumers. However, consumption of Supper Basmati rice in domestic and international markets has increased. An opportunity exists to create an integrated production, processing, distribution and marketing initiative that highlights the social and environmental attributes of sustainable rice production systems in the Pakistan. To move rice production systems toward socio-economic and environmental sustainability, Rice production practices that preserve and enhance natural resources while increasing the profitability of rice farming by reducing production costs.
As a result of the sustainable rice production practices, collaborating farmers are able to reduce fertilizer applications by 55% and chemical pesticide applications by 67% compared to their conventional rice production system in neighbors. In addition, farmers apply 15-30% less irrigation water compared to conventional rice production systems. Thus, collaborating farmers typically enjoy 25% to 50% higher profits per hectare than their conventional rice farming systems.
Organic farming agricultural system is the original type of traditional farming practiced for thousands of years.
Organic farming is a method of crop that involves much more than choosing not to use pesticides, fertilizers, genetically modified organisms, antibiotics, and growth hormones.
Organic production is a holistic system designed to optimize the productivity within the agro-ecosystem, including soil organisms, plants, etc. Our principal goal of organic production is the use of fertilizers of organic origin such as compost manure, green manure, and bone meal, and place emphasis on techniques such as crop rotation and companion planting.
Synthetic pesticides and fertilizers are not allowed to be used in organic farming. All agro-products grown in Al Wahab Rice fields are monitored. Every year control union inspectors verify that organic products such as long-term soil management, soil and product samples are taken regularly. Annual submission of organic system plan and inspection of farm, field, and processing facilities. Processing inspection includes review of facilities cleaning pest control methods ingredient, transportation, storage, record keeping, and audit.
A record-keeping system is maintained to track all products from field to point of sale.
